Apart from a strange video, does anyone think the chorus sounds a lot like the one from Take That - Shine?

It really does! It's too similar not to notice, I'd imagine Parlophone and SMG brokered a royalties deal to let her reproduce the basic piece.

I've not heard it, I hate both 'artists' anyway, but over the years I've heard songs that were remarkably similar to older tunes. Unless it's note for note exactly identical, not one chord change, then she's fine to do so.

I notice tracks ripping off tracks all the time. U2 are bad for it - Beautiful Day is essentially Ah Ha's 'Sun Always Shines on TV'. Not even old tracks either, last Pixie Lott single was a wholesale rip of Rihanna's 'Shut Up and Drive' with a few chorus notes different.

Lily Allen gets right on my bell end, she's a gobby wee bitch who could do with a good raping. The Fear is a good track, but it's not like she does any of the actual music. She does have a good way with words tho. I saw her live and she's a terrible singer tho. It's almost like she just talks through her tracks, she never goes for big/long notes.

Speaking of rips, that Cheryl Cole song just reminds me of Lil Star by Kelis from a couple of years back

And I agree with Mentz - Lily Allen is good with words, but it is effectively spoken word with some kind of backing track

I noticed that Lily Allen and Take That did a duet at that Children In Need concert and they mixed her song and Shine together seamlessly. Funny that.

I heard that on radio 1, they had a clip of Gary Barlow (?) saying "lets be honest lily, you kind of ripped off our song, so lets merge them together for children relief" Lily Allen looked strangely attractive on children relief, usually she's a bit of a dog, but still...

Cheryl Cole > All
