Latest episode was alright. The ending left the next episode pretty predictable though.

It would have had more scope if they had landed on one of the planets and it was full of bad ass warrior types hell bent on killing them all

Then Eli saves the day after learning a few tricks from Halo 3

Or not

I thought the episode was going to be predictable, but I didn't think they would have stretched it out over a whole episode.
Spoiler (highlight to view):
Bit of a cop out really considering they pretty much explained outright that the ship runs and fixes itself in the previous episode.

I liked the latest episode, aside from the obviousness of the outcome. Right at the start of the episode I was thinking...

Spoiler (highlight to view):
Despite the age of the ship, surely the Ancients had developed Solar Power when they built the Destiny?

I thought there where a few ways it could have went. Kind of ended on a dark note though, what if Rush did know.

Don't think we will see any sort of long term bad guys can't really with how the program works but they have a few they could go back to from SG1 and SGA.

It's a slow burner and it's lacking a series villain (unless you count Telford). But Rush is fantastic. Is it wrong that I'm siding with him on everything rather than Colonel Young?

Anyone else think episode 8 was a waste of time, just slapped in there to make the series longer?
I really do hope they bring in a substantial enemy very soon. Particles of sand aren't the most exciting monster.

After 9 episodes, finding out about the characters' faggy little problems is getting a bit tedious. You showed me in the first episode that Col. Young has problems with his wife, now fucking shoot something!

I just watched the pilot to this SGU lark. I like it, it seems to be a bit edgier (because of the direction style more than anything else, admittedly) and a touch darker because that scientist is a likable dick, and they don't turn many lights on.

Saying that, it was overshadowed by me thinking "fucking hell Richard Dean Anderson's got fat".

I just want them to hurry up and put it back on!

Ch 5 stopped Flash Forward for Xmas until last fucking week! And SGU also stopped and isn't even back on properly yet, just repeating what they have already shown!

I'm going to keep watching to see if a proper long term enemy makes it any more interesting

Just finished the 10 episodes currently available... and I think they're the best 10 episodes of Stargate I've ever seen. It's fresh, exciting, and you can't quite bank on everything going back to normal at the end of the episode.

I hope they don't introduce overbearing, long term Power Rangers baddies, because that would infinitely cheapen the series, in my opinion.
